Hi guys! Shar here. I created a new character for the game that I want to introduce. Her name is Nadia Al Dossari, and she's a Slayer from Saudi Arabia that is going to be arriving in Sunnydale soon. More of her info is here if you would like to check her out. She's a little shy because she was raised to be demure and modest with people (especially men), but hopefully she'll make some friends that will help her come out of her shell a bit.

Hello everyone! My name is Shar and I'm new to these parts. I've been a friend of Erin's for a little while, and she directed me toward her game, and I picked up the resident High School librarian, Susan Daniels. She's also a Watcher in need of a Slayer. She's free and up for play, so feel free to plot with me about her.

As for me, I've been RPing for a number of years, either online or in tabletop RPGs like Vampire the Masquerade and DnD (3.5, for those curious). Been married for two years, and now, like so many other people in the U.S., am looking for work in hopes of making a decent living. Right now, though, I'm unemployed with wretched amounts of time.

I can't do aim, as I can't really sit in one place for long periods of time that it requires, but I love to play through either email or just through threads on the community. I'm happy to work out anything, plotline wise. Feel free to email me or just contact me on this post!

Third thing: When apping new characters, please consider filling the requests in the Wanted Characters section or filling in spots of the Founding Covens.

Fourth thing: I'd like to start a poll of who'd like things to remain as-is with the holds/characters and who would like to go anonymous. What does this mean? It means, should we go anonymous everyone's names from the holds/character section will be taken down. OOC contact posts would then be needed for each character, and players cannot inform other players of who plays who (I realize the last bit is moot for current players since most of us know who plays who). Lastly, the contact list of the friend button post would be taken down to leave it up the disrection of the players on whether or not they want to inform another player of which characters they play and how to contact them.

Please keep in mind that the paragraph above will only apply if the vote is in favor of anonymity. To cast your vote, comment this thread with a YES or NO. Comments for this post have been screened and only I will be able to see them.

I wanted to apologize for my sudden absence over the weekend and most of this week. Some last minute Halloween plans came up and I was all raring to get back to RP on Monday, but when my mom and I stopped by Staples to pick up an external HD for the computer, the EasyTech guys convinced us to bring the computer in for a $10 promotional tune-up. They said it'd take 24 hours, but three days later ... Anyway, I'm back now! :D

This party will be done in a massive chat on Sunday, October 30th starting at 3pm Central Standard time. The chat itself will be considered the main activity center of the party. That way if characters in attendance want to have a separate thread on board they can feel free to do so. It will simply be considered in a different room from the main party.

This is just a quick note to say that next week I might be spotty on occasion. Monday and Tuesday I have work obligations until 7 each night. Wednesday is my birthday (and at the moment I'm not sure what I'm going to do for it- besides packing for the rest of the week), and then on Thursday-Sunday I will be gone. I was admitted into a Fall Arts Institute, and will be attending. I received a full scholarship to attend for Digital Photography, so I'm really looking forward to four days in the mountains as the leaves are changing.

Thankfully the resort that we are staying at has internet, and when I am in the room, and have the opportunity I will be on my laptop. If I'm not on my laptop I might be on my iPad, but that is dependent upon what is going on. I know that Friday evening I have a late night class to attend- as part of my scholarship- and so I will be on when it is over with.

I have a feeling that we will have a project that will have to be created, and really I'm looking forward to working with a professional photographer, perhaps learning a new craft that I can use on the side... though right now I believe I'm going to have to buy another camera, becuase mine is being stupid and is not wanting to use the new SD cards that I just bought today. :(

However for you guys, I will make sure to make it a point to be on as much as I can. If you think I'm offline, send me a hit and see if I answer... I'll do my best to respond.

Hello everyone! I know I have been so very absent online as of late. Well...way more absent than I usually am online anyway haha but this is due to me moving several states north in just a few days here. So, of course, life has been nuts. It's also going to get much more crazy when the moving actually happens.

So... this is to just let everyone know that I'm not going to be around hardly at all for the next week or so, but after that I'll be back in the swing of things! Meanwhile I still get emails (and mobile aim) to my phone so I'm open to chattings/plottings at laughingvoid @ gmail.com.

I hope you all will have a great weekend coming up! I know I'm looking forward to the lunch date I have with a family friend today. :3

Well, as the subject states, I have an announcement to make that concerns all the Mod posts I make here. I'd rather not clog the OOC comm with the frequent updates I do, so in order to keep the comm more open for Player-to-Player posts I've made a static News & Update post on the Mod journal. This way posts, like Luckee's open scene reminder, don't get constantly shoved aside every time I make an update.

I tried making the Key as concise as possible as well as the rest of the content. But, if you have questions regarding anything in that post, please contact me as soon as possible and I'll do my best to answer your questions and help you. All that said, this will be my last Mod post in the OOC comm.

Faceclaims and Characters
With several players leaving recently, it made me realize that I needed a slightly more efficient way of updating the various lists I was keeping for both the faceclaims, the characters, and the players. It made me realize that I did not want to be frequently updating two lists that basically had the same coding content so I've combined the faceclaims and the character listing. It is in alphabetical order by last name unless a character has no last name (either because that was how they were apped or the player has asked that their character be listed a certain way) and can be viewed here.

Contact & Friend Button
How to contact other players and the friend button have also been combined. In addition to the Add button, there is also a Remove button for when a player has to/wants to drop a character for whatever reason or a player leaves the comm. The rules have been updated to reflect this as well as a few other things.

The character list should be up-to-date as well as the friend button. If I've missed any of your kids, please let me know so I can fix the list or the buttons.

Alright, I figure an OOC intro is much easier to start with, since neithe rof my girls are going to be too invested in the whole computer thing. So I will start with the eldest.

Aradia, themaiden, is a 2000 year old vampire. Basically it means she's seen it all and done it all and yet still manages to enjoy learning new things. She's not someone who goes around killing for fun, she grew out of that enjoyment centuries ago, she has no problem with other supernatural beings, and though she's not met each type she is intrigued by the new types she might met. She's been living in Europe until recently when she bought a rather large home in the Sunnydale area. She has no fear of slayers/hunters, and frankly she figures if she leaves them alone they should leave her alone. She's survived this long by being smart, resourceful and able to take care of herself. She's over all very nice, hates faked stupidity and even more hates the idea of having to do anything she doesn't want to do. She's picky about things like music and tv. She hates American football and baseball but is a huge sucker for Football (soccer) and would do anything in her power to see Chelsea win the League. She's been a Chelsea fan since they first became a club and has joked she bleeds blue. She also enjoys a few Spanish clubs, but Chelsea is her favorite. She loves ice cream, anything Ben and Jerry's really and always has five different flavors in her freezer.

Rozenwyn, rozenwyn, is a 250 year old Unseelie Sidhe princess. She's the king's favored niece and very close to Andais. She's been in Europe for the last year and has only just come back to the states. She has a sadistic side to her that is only rivaled by her cousin. She is much more stable than her cousin and often is the calming force behind her cousin. She's been taught how to use a sword by one of the best Unseelie Guards and she practiced even when she was away. She isn't a huge fan of the human world but comes out every so often. She likes tv, hasn't had to use a computer in awhile, and loves to shop[. She only wears designer, Valentino, Gucci, Prada and Fendi are her favorite labels, along with Tory Brunch for shoes. She's over all friendly but very much the full sidhe that she is, and dances around a topic like an olympic athlete.

Now that we have backgrounds on both, their bios are up and readable if you need. I'd love lines of all shapes and sizes! Feel free to toss them at me. IM me at shawnicidee if you need/want to chat!

Hiatus
Just a heads up to everyone that for the duration of the week I will be taking a slight hiatus from new scenes only. I will continue to work on the current scenes that I'm participating in. I've come to the shocking realization that many of characters have incomplete profiles or none at all (le gasp!). I'm hoping to have them all completed by the end of the week. Until then, I will not be taking on new scenes for the time being.

Plot Idea: The Call of Cthulu ... Or Something Like That
The plot involving the Turner siblings, possibly their descendants, and Mrs. Rose is somewhat contained between that group of characters. I've been thinking about this Lovecraftian idea that would make for a good comm-wide plot to be involved in. For those of you who are not familiar with Johnathan Ackerman, he was a vigilante in Victorian England who was cursed with immortality by a warlock named Nathaniel Bishop for interfering with his plans one too many times. Over the years, the two have gone at it with each other (Bishop realized to complete his plans he needed to cast a spell on himself to prolong his life as well) and Johnathan has never been able to completely discern the warlock's plans.

As players, you all will know that Bishop had originally intended to gain power by summoning a greater demon to our realm. Circumstances that will later be revealed, however, changed his plans and he is now hellbent on opening a portal to release the Eldritch Gods into our plane of existence and let chaos run rampant.

How this plot will be triggered is the simultaneous theft of several books pertaining to the Eldritch Gods and the various ways of opening portals capable of expelling such creatures from them. One of the books will have been in the possession of Reynard Durant, Buffy Summers Watcher, and another would have been in the possession of Jacob Stuart, another Watcher for the Council.

After the Council realizes whats been stolen, they will dispatch two agents, Vincent Moreau and Veronica Drake, of The Order (a sub-group within the Council) to investigate and find out who stole the books and why. Due to the nature of the theft the Council, as a precaution, have authorized Vincent and Ronnie to perform a ritual that will activate the next five to 10 Slayers to be called (that means Baleigh Underwood and Molly Carter will be activated as official Slayers).

Also, I just want to let everyone know that Debi will be on a hiatus until roughly the end of the month. She's currently in the middle of a move and hasn't quite gotten her computer unpacked yet. Hopefully we'll see her soon for some Halloween shenanigans! ^^

Hello everyone, it's Misty and I'm bringing in my second character in, this is Kambria Avery Nolan (looks 22, but is really 250) and she's a vampire- acutally she's a vegetarian vampire.

She's pretty open to anything, and isn't afraid to get out there and just have fun. I hope to get some lines going with you guys, and well I hope to speak with you all.

Hello everyone, I'm Misty and I will be playing Mrs. Rose- who is loosely based on Mrs. Flowers. Basically she's the nice little old lady who is anything but. She's a witch who actually was alive back during the Salem Witch Trials, and caused a bit of havoc- resulting in some deaths. Sad. Maybe, but not to her.

Here's her application, the short history, and later on when I have more time I will have a more detailed history of her life as it has been.

Just a few quick things, I do work on Monday-Friday from 8-4, as well as sponsor a senior class, and coach both JH and HS cheerleading squads, so there will be evenings where I'm gone (oh and Wednesday evening for Survivor- we have a game we play). Friday's for the next 6 weeks are game nights, and when basketball season starts, I will be gone for those evenings, but I am dependable when I'm on.
